Practice what you Preach

Every year there are elections all around the country, whether it be for a small office or a big office, people are sharing their ideas. You are one of them. You go out into the country with a platform that you are basing your entire campaign on. Too often that platform is not a reflection of strongly held ideals, but just what you think people want to hear.  Part of being an effective leader is believing that the people you lead can understand and accept the truth, even if the truth is not good. Find the truth, share the truth, believe that people will follow the truth; then you will be a true leader.

  1. Wait, so I'm supposed to tell the truth? Mal, buddy, you really are kind of a simple guy, aren't you? Look, we all have ideals. We follow those at home with our families. On the campaign trail? In the capital? I don't think ideals get you very far in those places. I may as well quit my job and become some crazy blogger like you. That's the truth, bible boy.
