Listen to the message I have given you. I do not speak for the sake of speaking. This is the word of the Lord, the message that I have been chosen to share with you. The choice is yours whether you will take this advice or not. Know, however, that if you choose not to listen to what I have said, God will know. God will know that you were given the chance to be honest and look out for the citizens of your country and that you decided not to. God will no longer have the trust in you that he used to and he will have no reason to. Why would your job affect your personal relationship with God? Because God is a part of every single thing that you do. No, your country will not turn into a pile of rubble if you do not listen to what I say; but if you do not listen, then there will be severe problems in our country depending on how out of hand you,  and the other politicians of our country let this get. Heed my words!

Practice what you Preach

Every year there are elections all around the country, whether it be for a small office or a big office, people are sharing their ideas. You are one of them. You go out into the country with a platform that you are basing your entire campaign on. Too often that platform is not a reflection of strongly held ideals, but just what you think people want to hear.  Part of being an effective leader is believing that the people you lead can understand and accept the truth, even if the truth is not good. Find the truth, share the truth, believe that people will follow the truth; then you will be a true leader.

The Small Price you Pay

Taxes. Taxes are the small price that every American must pay in order to be a citizen of our country. Everyone is affected by them and many people complain about them; but not enough people care about why we have them. Just as the priests owed their sacrifices to God, and it was their holy duty to do so properly, it is every American's duty to pay their fair share of taxes. It is your job as a politician to show your people how important these taxes are. Don't argue against them yourself. That encourages the same selfish behavior of keeping more for yourself than you give to others. That is the same behavior the priests and Israelites displayed before I was called to God for my last prophecy. Taxes are not about how little one can pay and still have the country get by. It's about paying your fair share for the things our country provides us. This country is on the brink of crisis and the less people are willing to sacrifice, the closer and closer to the edge we get. Those who can afford to pay should be paying, in this case it is not a holy obligation, but a moral obligation. You must all do your part to help your country as a whole and your fellow countrymen. The more time you spend postponing it, the more trouble you will cause for not just yourselves as politicians, but for every person living in your country. These men are people who understand my message, who understand their duty and what comes with being as fortunate as they are. Listen to them because their message is the same as mine!

Debt has risen

The Lord came to me to begin my quest to reach all politicians at the time of the national debt crisis. I was reading my daily blogs when my screen went blank and God came down to speak to me. He said, "Son, help these people to see the disasters they are causing. Teach them the commandment 'thou shall not steal,'  for they are stealing from thine brothers and sisters."  Shocked and unsure of myself, I accepted and knew that this would not be the only problem I needed to address. God went on to tell me of all the other problems, but that is for a later post. Why would our country extend the limit to the amount of debt we can accumulate? Going back on your word is never allowed, so why do you think it is okay? Why don't you come up with a solution that will actually be followed and agreed upon. Instead of arguing, act. Your job is to make decisions, yet that is the thing that you as a whole are not good at doing. Why waste time arguing while our country is in trouble when decisions need to be made? Compromise is one of the most important things for our country and without it our debt and many other problems will continue to grow. Stop making excuses. Stop deciding that just a little more won't hurt. Stop finding the easy way out. Remember why your rules were put in place, not to be changed and certainly not to be cheated. Just as the priests thought no one noticed their wrong doings, you think that no one will notice your failure to fix the problems of our country. The answer to both of those is that no sin goes unnoticed. Someone, somewhere is keeping track.

Remember Who Invited You to the Party?

I can help you remember. Remember the day that people lined up to cast their vote? Those people standing in line were the people that thought YOU were the change we needed in this country. Remember when everyone believed you when you said you would stand up for what you believed? But then you got elected and all you cared about was whether you were going to keep your prestigious position. This is where it all went wrong. That's when your ideals changed from the good of the people to the good of your party. Our founding fathers did not create party politics and I know that they would have never envisioned this kind of problem in their country. Do you think that no one notices that the stance you take is the stance your party pressures you to take? Do you think it goes unseen when you water down your opinions for fear that people judge you harshly? Everyone sees this, everyone knows that you have sacrificed your own opinion, not for the good of the country but for the good of yourself.  One day you will not get the chance to have an opinion. One day this problem will get so bad that when a politician stands up for what he believes there will not be anyone left who trusts him.  Once you and the rest of our elected officials lose the trust of the people, the very foundation of our democracy is in jeopardy. Individuals in political parties are meant to have the same ideals, not the same opinion on every topic. Political parties are not supposed to control everything that you, our representative, does. Someone needs to do something, someone needs to make the change that everyone is talking about. You are letting down the people who voted for you. Remember who invited you to the party?

Corruption in our Country

Our country fought for freedom. We fought many a battle, but now you say, "Have we really any freedom?" Why did the people of our country fight if you were going to slowly take those freedoms away again. Our founding fathers wanted nothing to do with kings and queens that sit on pedestals and think of themselves as above the law. If this was wrong then, then why would it be okay now? Why would it be okay for citizens of the same country, our country, to be treated with a different amount of respect and responsibility. Not all people are treated equally and not everyone has the same rights. The laws we have formed are not being followed in the way they were intended. All people do is try to find a way around them. If we say we have such strong ideals, then why are we disappointed with seemingly every leader that we have? Why has no one tried to fix this problem? We are a country of a lot of talk of change and not enough action to make change. What catastrophe would it take for a change to occur? What disaster needs to happen for you politicians to care about the people you serve - the people that year after year beg for someone to take a stand for the rights they deserve and the rights they have always wanted? That is what a true politician would care about, what is right. Not whether it is controversial, not if it will get you the most votes. A true leader would do what was right and not betray the trust of those that elected her.
